Drifting PS2 game?!?!

I was in wal mart playing PGR2 for xbox 360 and i looked up and i saw THE D1 grand Drift game has anyone played it ???

That game is crap, but the Tokyo Drift video game is actually blast to play, I just wish you could lower the cars more, they all sit like trucks.

The D1 game was fun at first because it was actually a drifting game, not like some NFSU stuff or anything. But it got boring pretty quickly, plus the announcers make you wanna ram your foot into the TV.

Tokyo Drift was decent, I thought the driving sucked though. I like the customization stuff, but what the fuck is up with there not being any kind of of tuning. Sad that all the car had a truck lift.

if anything, GT3 for the ps2 has a pretty decent physics engine to get some pretty good drifting. The newer gt4 incorporates some new logics and makes anything besides grip nearly impossible.

for starters, throw on some simulation tires, set tcs and asm to zero or one, and get suspension. that's about all you need.

There's also a huge thread dedicated to GT4 drifting in the videogames section that I started.

I actually think drifting on GT4 was easier, but thats only cuz I learned it on GT4 first before trying it on GT3. GT4 drifting sucks balls if you only have a control, you need the Logitech wheel to really get the hang of it.

lol that D1 game is the best game for drifting. I play that for hours. Never gets old. I just go from course to course in time trials. Real courses too. I find out how to do something better every time i play. Different settings, different levels of cars etc. The heavier the harder. You'll catch yourself messing up. Sometimes the computer is damn good too. Iv been playing it since it was a japan only game. It finally came out here. THe announcers are pretty fucking gay though.....but thats why you turn that shit off. Some replays are sweet also. Bunch of random d1 footage for bonus. The graphics could be better, but its not horrible. I mean its game full of RWD wtf is the problem with that? Plus you can make clean looking cars, not all fucking FnF'd out with gay ass shit.

Took me a while to get used to it at first. But after that your ebraking, clutch kicking, slamming throttle all day long. Drifting almost the whole damn course. As far as car games go.....it goes like this Gran turismo(1-4), tokyo extreme racer (1-3), then d1. Thats the only games worth a fuck for playstation that concern cars.

Yea I played the shit out of D1 one too, but I quit when I did the survival mode, and lost to the last fuckin guy. Took me like 2 1/2 straight hours. The gay part is the last person isn't even, well...a person. It coulda been alot better, but I'm not gonna ruin it for anyone who hasn't gotten there yet.

live for speed owns GT. tokyo extreme racer was bad ass, never really tried drifting in it though. didnt play anything else.
