Ignition Cylinder Lock replacement in 94 Grand Cherokee

My 94 Grand Cherokee was stolen. Upon recovery, I found the drivers side door lock punched through and inside the door. The locks still work, I can use rocker switch on either front door to lock/unlock the doors, but the alarm does not active anymore. The iginition cylinder lock was removed and laying on the floor. I tried to reset it into the cavity on the steering column, but the key would not turn it. How do I replace the iginition cylinder lock? I have found a couple on the web, but not how to install them. What keeps the iginition cylinder lock in the column?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: Ignition Cylinder Lock replacement in 94 Grand Cherokee

Usually there's a pin of some sort that will release the cylinder, but I'm not sure on that year.

Moved to the Grand Cherokee forum for you.
