Beretta Gtz

A friend of mine just traded an amp and subwoofer for this guys beretta. Its got a motor with only 15000 miles on it and hes raced it a couple times and walked all the people he raced against and i mean totally destroyed. Now im wondering what does a Gtz run? I mean i had my Avenger wrapped up to 130 and we both had 1 gear left he was kinda catching me. Now the things i wanna know are...Whats the 1/4 time and has anyone driven or raced against one of these?

Re: Beretta Gtz

0-60 is a little under 8 seconds and the 1/4 is a little over 16. No I have never ran one.

What kind of amp and sub did he trade and what kind of shape is the Beretta in? (more specific)

Don't you know those 'master 1/4 mile lists' are wrong? those are the stats the FIRST google link shows and its wrong.

GTz's stock are in the low 15s, and some have seen 14s. 2700lbs car with 180hp will do better then a 16 in the 1/4 mile.

I have never seen one run so I could not say if it is right or wrong. Oh, and I used Yahoo.

Re: Beretta Gtz

GTZ's are pretty quick car for there age but the quad4 motor is a complete pile of shit. I haven't seen a quad4 that hasnt blown a headgasket atleast once. The lo-output version is even worse. My aunt's grand prix (pile of shit to begin with) has went through 4 low-output quad4s in 11 years.

Re: Beretta Gtz

Hey burner, before you told me it is a 5 speed but only gears 1 and 4 work. How did he manage to walk all these people with only two gears on opposite ends of the spectrum?

He's right. The GTC is supposed to have 174HP stock and weighs about 2,800 pounds and I managed high 14s in my red one. So I don't see why the GTZ wouldn't be that far off.

What he ^ said.

I used to own a GTZ in 1994-1996, and owned pretty much all the up-and-coming wanna-be's in their Civics, and was usually even with the GS-R's, which were also capable of high-14's with a very capable driver.

With N/A mods (balancing/blueprinting, custom-ported intake mani, custom header, exhaust, other stuff), I managed to walk a stock E36 BMW M3, which was a self-proclaimed king back in those days.
