Transmission Locked Up
Have a '95 Intrepid (3.3, no autostick), all of a sudden last week the tranny locked up. Whether it's in Neutral or any gear the car won't move while the engine is running. As soon as you shut it off, it'll roll in neutral. I'm guessing it's an electrical problem, anyone know for sure? The tranny has never had anything but ATF+3 and no shavings or other problems that I'm aware of. Tomorrow I'm going to inspect the wiring harness on the tranny and remove/clean the ground strap. Any other ideas? I haven't scanned the computer yet, I will soon. Thanks for reading.

Re: Transmission Locked Up
I talked to my local transmission expert and he said it's shot (the tranny that is). I didn't wholeheartedly believe him, but I have a parts car and I'm going to swap them out anyway. It does seem like it should be electrical, but no one seems to have any info. to support my idea. So, as of this point, I'm going with his suggestion. I'm not too experienced with transmission rebuilding/reworking so I'll probably never know what actually happened. Good Luck with yours.
