Exhaust tips
Hi all, I'm new here, and have a 2006 Impala LTZ. I saw these exhaust tips on ebay and i just want to know if anyone has tried them? They look really good with the stock bumper.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=250041896683 ![]() Are they worth it? |

Re: Exhaust tips
hello is "copper sunburst" the color of your Impala. You lucky dog, Have you tested the 240hp yet ? that is a 3.9 L right ? I think that you have max hp @ 6000 rpm, what rpm does it red line at , still OHV or is it OHC ? Oh yeah the tips dp look good. are they worth it. If it were me, this is just me,,,,and i had your car. I would save up and get a really good exhaust with cat back and high flow cat converter.

Re: Exhaust tips
3A Racing 62-2354 100% Stainless Steel Performance Exhaust Tip. It is triple chrome plated, double wall construction, it will fit the 3.9L exhaust like it was made for it. The pipe goes up inside the inner wall and you can adjust how far you want it to protrude. These picture are with the tip as far onto the pipe as it will go. It fastens on with screw clamps, not just screws. It looks a little goofy with the bottom clamp sticking down, so I left it off. The other two nice and tight are plenty tight enough. $25 each at Pep Boys, or even less online. This is definitely a quality piece and the cheapest I have seen for something decent. Literally 1/3 the price of the Chevy exhaust tips. I can't get the pictures to embed, follow these links for the pics. http://www.pbase.com/jgraziano/image/69697262.jpg Last edited by jgraziano; 11-05-2006 at 09:02 AM. |

Re: Exhaust tips
Thought I'd give everyone an update.
I've had them on the car for months now, they look great and have held up with no rusting or anything. |
