Re: Is this a good deal?

Have you checked ebay for used turbos? I wouldn't trust those knock off brand ones and some people wouldn't even trust a used turbo off ebay. But, I bought my last turbo on ebay for cheap and it was almost brand new and was a heck of a steal... You could also check on dsmtuners classifieds.

Re: Is this a good deal?

Yah well im scared to buy a turbo off ebay one of my buddys did and blew it in around 3 months dont ask how i figured it would last longer then that but im sure the 16g isnt a knock off turbo, yah i been checking dsmtrader everyday to see if theres anything i would be interested in it's just hard cuz i always see people gettin ripped off on there im not saying that will happen but with this big16 i seen it in person and everything its brand new never even put in but im gonna keep looking but would that be a good deal ether way?

Doesn't sound too horrible... I suppose you could just go with that one then if thats what you really want.

Re: Is this a good deal?

If you are going 16g, my advise would be to go Evo III. Yes $300 is a good price for a big though. eBay is full of dumb fuckers though, I bet you could score some 16g variant for like $200. Search for 14bs and look at the pictures. 16g's use the same housings as the 14bs so they often get confused. TD05 housing and grouped fins = 16g variant. One time on eBay I looked for 14b's... like 1/3 of them had grouped fins. Now if you get a really good picture and you can get the numbers on the turbine housing then you can tell what you are really getting.

Re: Is this a good deal?

I have a knock off 16g and it's just as good as a regular big 16g. It's well made and flows awesome. I paid 550 for it new with the install kit for a 2g, so I think 300 is a great price for one.
