Lightbulb 1991 Geo Tracker 4X4 Bearings

How do I change the bearings on a 1991 Tracker 4X4. The Hanes manual isn't the same as what I see on the car. There's no nut to remove, only some thing with a bunch of holes on it. I have taken off the inital ring and the lock ring. Any help????

Re: 1991 Geo Tracker 4X4 Bearings

you are talking about the wheel bearings? is it 4 equal spaced holes in the "lock ring" your talking about, looks like you could fit a small phillips screwdriver in? if it is, yours takes a special locknut socket, instead of 4 or 6 teeth like you usually see has 4 pins on it. I bought mine years ago thru chevy dealer (buddy was service manager, only way I could have gotten it then) 65 bucks, KentMoore tools. this link shows a newer style, different from mine...http://www.shop.com/op/~FW_BEARING_L...4?sourceid=298
