manual tranny half shafts

I just replaced the clutch and right side half shaft. Now theres gear lube leaking around the new half shaft.

Does anyone know if ...
Seal may stop leaking on its own, or if this seal is internal or can I just pop the shaft AGAIN and replace the seal?

Thanks!

Re: manual tranny half shafts

Well alrighty then I'll share what information I have gotten so far.

looks as though it is external and although not listed with advanced auto, autozone or even NAPA in my area. My buddy at autozone looked in thier Timken book and found it to Part #710112.

Re: manual tranny half shafts

Yeah, most leaks don't go away on their own too often

It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, these should "click" when fully seated. (you'd fell a little oomfpt in the shaft.
