Re: smells like burnt rubber
Look under the vehicle and make sure that the under coating has not peeled off from the underside and is laying on the exhaust... If it is just cut it away and get some under coating in a can and re seal...let us know

Are you saying it is from the interior of the car? Take the rear seat bottom out completely for a couple of days to see if it will deodorize. (Sorry, I just read that you had done that.) You might have to replace it. You can go to a detail shop and see if they have an ozone machine for deodorizing.

Re: smells like burnt rubber
Next I may remove the rear deck liner to see if the odor clears from the interior it tucks down under the rear seat and if that works I may replace them both ....I am curious what may have caused this. The ozone machine/detail shop sounds like a really good idea soap just isn't working or any sprays

Re: smells like burnt rubber
Knew a guy whose exhaust was touching the bottom of the floorpan, his seat got hot and burned. Make sure nothing's touching underneath that's hot. Even if the heat shield is in place, if the muffler or other exhaust parts are touching it there could be some heat transfer.
