electrical prob

I recently changed the right breake light on my retail golf 1.6 '02, which i have done before without any problems..

This time however, when I added the new lamp everything seemed fine untill i figured that the remote key or what its called in english didnt work, the electrical windows wont work and the light inside the car wont work.
I checked if any circuits were blowen, but they all seemed fine...

Anyone have any idea about what to do`??
Thanks

Re: electrical prob

look at fuse 14, its for the comfort module that controls all those. if the fuse is ok than the module is faulty. sometimes you can get away with unplugging then plugging the module back in. If you remove the lower kickpannel and metal knee bar you can gain access to the module, its located above the fuse relay pannel and its about 130mm by 80mm and black in color has 2 25pin connectors on it
