Talking 2000 Bonnieville rear power window

Our rear window needs repairing and the body shop says it will be $750.00 plus labor to repair because the whole assemble has to be replaced. Someone left a message that it can be repaired and would appreciate any info. My husband is very good at this kind of work.

Re: 2000 Bonnieville rear power window

I just replaced my right rear window regulator on my2001 for $160. I found a place on e-bay that sells complete rebuilt units (motor and cable/track assembly). It was $210 delivered then once you send the old unit back, you'll get $50 bucks back. You can search e-bay for "bonneville window regulator" of go to this company's store at http://stores.ebay.com/WINDOW-MOTOR-WORLD-INC. If it were not for the fact that my cable was torn up, I would have tried to follow the rebuild steps outlined on the bonnevilleclub site http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...e=article&k=97. The rear windows for some reason are prone to having the cable pull out of the carriage assembly. Good luck.

Youll have to take the doorskin off , it just pulls of around edges and see if the cable is all bunged up, if it is like gorge said your husband can fix with instructions from BC CLUB.

Thumbs up Re: 2000 Bonnieville rear power window

I just replaced rear drivers side window in a 01 bonneville, ebay is definetly the way to go, mine was only 34 bucks and i think like 40 total with shipping and handling, and it is everything, motor , regulator and track, you do have to use the old bolts though, they also sell the motors at part stores but they are around 160 and also come with the regulators, cant buy just regulator from part store, but u can by the motor, which is goofy, but thats what i was told
