Question

light in the dash

one light in the dash is on but i don't know what it is , the light is ( service engine soon ) is in my caravan 96

I carried my 99 to the local chain parts store. they checked my computer
with their portable machine. my check engine light went out afterwards,
as if that reset the computer.
