96' V6 trouble starting
I have a 96' V6 S-10 that has trouble starting. The battery is new so it has lots of power to turn over, but it takes a few turn overs and pumping gas to get it to start.
Once it starts it runs perfectly. Can someone suggest items to check that could be causing this? Thanks. |

Re: 96' V6 trouble starting
Do a search on this board for "Hard Starting". There have been several posts in the last week or so.

Re: 96' V6 trouble starting
kinda sounds like a fuel pressure regulator not holding prime when shut off.

Re: 96' V6 trouble starting
WQelcome to AF. In addition you may want to scan it and check for proper coolant temp sensor operation and check the fuel pressure during cranking.
