differences between NA rear end and TT

OK... I just talked to a rep from NISMO and he told me that the na and tt z32 use pretty much the same rear end set up, the differntial is the same its just the gear ratio is different,

nismo sells a ring and pinion gear set that is 4.111 and he told me that it will work for both the tt and the NA,

what do you guys think about this? for some reason i dont think he is telling my the truth. but maybe im wrong, can some one please help me out

i do NOT think the gears are interchangable between N/A and TT. i dont remember what the difference is but i am pretty sure i remember reading some controversy about the Leader gears not going into the N/A rear end.

and i am pretty sure the N/A differential cannot be swapped into a TT with some extensive modification.

broke may have to correct me if i am wrong or maybe clarify. i dont feel like researching it.

This is correct. Why you would put 4.10 gears in a 4.083 rear end I don't know but whatever.

The NA uses the R200 housing and the TT the R230. Among the differences are the axles, ring gear diameter, the output flanges, some of the subframe mounts...etc. This is why swapping the NA rearend into the TT is quite the hassle:

Don't I always you lazy bastard?

Anyway, as you probably saw over on TT.net just going by what is in the Nismo catalog they don't appear to sell any gear sets that will fit in the R230. However there was another post from Mark Leader about another run of 4.10 gears coming up in early 2007. No prices, dates or amounts available have been set but drop Specialty Z a line to let them know you're interested.

Well that actually answers my latest question. Will a Q45 rear end work with my VH45DE swap...... its a R200 (3.528:1) So that would be a yes. hmmm..... back to the garage.
