Great that they've made the effort to include the airbox, something that I've been missing on all of the earlier RCV:s but [FLAME MODE] aren't we getting just a tad tired of the Repsol RCV:s??? [/FLAME MODE]

Re: New Tamiya release 1/12 Honda RC211V 06

yeah, i totally agree. i would like to have gsv, kawasaki & aprilia in my shelf & i also would like to have some 125 & 250.

even though tamiya has come up with repsol '06, i'm very sure the brands like renaissance, msm, sms, cm, etc. would come up with fortuna & lcr team. i would like to have these 2 in my shelf too.

Of coarse they tend to go with the factory team, it's just so bloody boring....

Re: New Tamiya release 1/12 Honda RC211V 06

Looks to have some nice updates to it, I have one on pre-order - but I agree it would be nice to see a Suzuki or a kwacka from Tamiya. It's likely we might get a Fortuna version - they did it with the M1 afterall.

Re: New Tamiya release 1/12 Honda RC211V 06

My theory with the Tamyia releases is ,they only make a bike that has won a race.look at the 500's they made all the one's they did had won a race ,
Now with Moto gp very bike that had won a race has been made .Is this why no Suzuki or Kawa????? The only exception is the D'Antin duke , can't work that one into my calculations yet
Mind you KR bike has a Honda engine in it would that qualify for version of the Honda bike

I don't know Shayne, but it is an interesting theory Shayne and if Big T is bound to that we would be able to get a Kawasaki ZX-RR as Olivier Jaque won a race in 2005!!!!

Re: New Tamiya release 1/12 Honda RC211V 06

yeah, very interesting theory. what got tamiya into building the d'antin pramac is also way beyond my understanding. i don't see why would they make such bike since it ain't popular.

maybe they take their desmo gp4 layout & make it into the pramac version. (flame)more a bit lazy to make a gp5 as they look different than the gp4, so they took their first desmo version & build the pramac version(/flame).

I think you are spot on there Ace. The Dántin bike got into production on the fact that it is a GP4 and that Tamiya only had to do new art work and new calipers. I think it is a stunning livery and I'm very happy over that release myself.

Re: New Tamiya release 1/12 Honda RC211V 06

Having built a lot of aircraft and armor over the years, I can tell you one sure fire way to get the might "T" to pony up some new releases in the markings we want.....scratchbuild one for yourself. As soon as you apply that last little piece, they will announce that it will be released the following year. You may laugh, but I swear ihave seen this done over and over. I just started building these bikes and I think they must be coated with heroin or something, cause they are addictive I got 17 of them on the shelves including two that are 1/9 scale. Laid eyes on a monster 1/6 Yamaha today, but it looked very toy like with a lot of stuff already assembled. Also got one of these new Honda's on order as well. Matt-

Well, it could be worse...You could be building NASCAR models!!!

I liked those models, but NASCAR keep changing the model year after year!!
When you finish your *new* Chevy, it is an *OLD* chevy!!!!!!!
