Question No spark from 1 plug wire

I have a 95cav and its chugging like hell... Im not getting any spark from one of the plug wires. My coil packs are new and my wires are new. Does anyone have any idea what it could be? im thinking its the computer again, but I dont know. could anyone give me some ideas please?

Re: No spark from 1 plug wire

bad wire ? replace the dead one with one of old to test . check continuity of new wire if you have a multimeter

Re: No spark from 1 plug wire

No, but there is no spark from the wire itself.... all others give off a spark when pulled off the plug itself. I can stick my finger in the socket iteself and not get a shock.

Re: No spark from 1 plug wire

yes i just realized i wasnt paying attention, the spark plug has nothing to do with this, the problem is obviously somewhere before the plug

What engine do you have? It sounds like an ignition control module to me.

Re: No spark from 1 plug wire

Check the opposite spark plug in the firing order. A wasted spark system requires that BOTH the plugs on a coil have proper gap, are not shorted to ground, and have secxondary wire continuity. Removing a plug wire and not finding spark can indicate that the plug paired to the one in question is a problem. For example, if the #1 plug wire produces no spark, check the #4 plug. If #3 produces no spark, check #2 (Firing Odrer = 1-3-4-2).
