1999 oil filter location

Can someone tell me where the oil filter is located on a 1999 Windstar with the 3.8 liter engine? The only manual I have says it should be just above the front cross member, about in the center of the car. If it's there, I don't see it. I must be getting old. Argh.

Any help would be appreciated.

Never mind. I found it under the frame on the passenger side of the van.
