1993 Grand Am Quad 4, over the last few months it is losing power. Runs fine does miss or anything, gas mileage still Okay. Seems to be about 1/2 - 2/3 the power it had before. Any ideas?

Re: Powerless
I'd start with the simple things if its running ok, fuel filter, injector cleaner, spark plugs, & wires. If this doesn't help the only other thing I can think of would be a fuel pressure regulator.

Re: Powerless
Wouldnt hurt to get the fuel pressure tested.
Could be the regulator but the fuel pump could be dying. Dirty air filter, & bad coils could all cause a lack of power. If the EGR system isnt funtioning right that'll cause power loss. The EGR tube get plugged after time and needs cleaned. Vacum leaks, or low and uneven cylinder pressure could be contributing to the lagg also. Over time hoses dry out and crack/leak. Cylinders leak ![]() Hope that helps !

Re: Powerless
Checked most of all mentioned above, no results. But guess what, it started running fine one day and still is. I have no idea what it was. It is running better than ever. ?????!!!!! I am thankful.
