Re: Cd player cutting out ?? need help

could be a number of things. amps are overheating or you clipped your amp due to not putting out enough power. What size fuse are you using?

Re: Cd player cutting out ?? need help

I would almost have to see this ...... is the fuse that blew something that came with the car, or something the installer put in with the stereo stuff ?

Re: Cd player cutting out ?? need help

It came with the stereo stuff. The tsunami 4 gauage amp kit thing. The amp isnt overheating because I jus turned the car on and it likes start cutting out already. I dont think i have enough power running but i was running the speakers for about 3 or 4 days before it cut off without no problem. I have no type of clue what fuse it is tho. but i kno that its under my hood and connected to the battery and its like the size of a peanut or a little bigger ..

Re: Cd player cutting out ?? need help

I don't know how the guy has it wired up .... maybe the CD player is wired for power to the same place the amp is ? Of course the CD player could be working fine and you still won't hear any sound if the fuse that powers both amps is blown.

Re: Cd player cutting out ?? need help

probably a loose power or ground wire. Find where the amps are grounded and check that screw/bolt.

Re: Cd player cutting out ?? need help

Well a quick fix (Temp) would be to get a 100 amp + circuit breaker. There pretty cheap. I'm running 6000 watts and had to get a Optima Battery (200) plus a new alternator (195) Now i never have a problem with cliping.

Re: Cd player cutting out ?? need help

Your amps are probably going into protect mode.

Re: Cd player cutting out ?? need help

normally an amp goes into protect mode when if it overheats, the impedance load (speakers) is too low, or there are power problems like a short circuit
