iv herd from some forums i have looked at that a stock 1g eclipse can withstand 400whp and others up to 600whp what is the true rating. Also what is the ratings for the stock axels and tranny (rebuilt).

Actual numbers will vary car to car depending on miles, wear, how well its been taken care of, etc but I have heard of many weekly tracked 1g cars with stock bottom ends running over 500 hp. I personally wouldnt probably push it that far, but taking it to 400-450 wont bother me at all. I have heard of stock trannies doing 10's but than again it is a DSM tranny. I've never heard of snapping axles except on high HP cars with slicks.
Also, you should use a bit better English in your posts. I know we arent all English majors, but a few well placed punctuation marks, capitalizations, and at least a try at good spelling will get you better answers faster and a lot less flaming. Welcome to AF by the way. |
