My civic dx idle will not level off after it has been running for a minute approx. This has been going on for some time now. I thaught it was the fuel but that has been fixed and it still does it??

Re: 1995 Dx Inconsistant Idle
No, it actually floats just under 500 and up to about almost 1000 at a slow change. It acts like the fuel is messing up or a softer version of when the O2 is busted. But the fuel system is all new and the O2 as well? Could ie be the spark on it? That is my next thought. I am changing the plugs and wires today and maybe the distributar cap, but I think it might be out of $$ reach right now since I just did the fuel.

Sounds like you may have a small vacuum leak somewhere.

Re: 1995 Dx Inconsistant Idle
Thanks for the help. I have fixed it by changing my spark plugs and wires. My 1 and 4 cylanders were firing every other time after the heat go to the wires. I just figured change the plugs anyways.
