Re: no start
Whens the last time the fuel filter was changed?
If its clogged it wont run. Other then that, it might be your pcm ![]() If you hav service lights on you'll need to get it snanned to find out whats going on. Usually narrows it down .

fuel filter is about 5 months old....well i have figured the problem out.... the anti theft system is letting the ecm complete the circuit via ground.....so i am sure it is the key cylinder is at fault with those two wires that measures resistance across the key....... so it thanks that i am tryin to start the car without the key... Re: no start
GM's anti-theft system also disables the starter if the module can't get a reading from the key pellet. This makes me wonder if the problem is somwhere else. On the 3800 V6 the fuel injectors are disabled if the throttle is nearly wide open. This 'clear flood mode' can also occur if the throttle position sensor is bad. I don't know if the 2.4 works the same as the 3.8 but thought I'd mention the possibility. Hopefully someone else will know if the 2.4 has the clear flood mode.

Re: no start
The keys for the Aleros don't have the chip in the key. The problem is the key cylinder. Passlock II on these cars is flaky...
