Harmonics in air filter on initial starts...
I discontect the filter hood and the low huhhhhics continues until I hear a "click" and it stops. Must be a stuck wat you macallit...
any takers? |

Whatever it is, I get the same thing on my 92 Grand Marquis and 94 Crown Vic. My 97 Crown Vic does not do it. The only differance between them is that the 92 and 94 have a aluminum MAF spacer and the 97 has a plastic one, My guess is that it has something to do with that. I plan on installing the newer plastic MAF spacer to see if that helps. I'll let you know.

Alright, I found the problem and fixed it. The problem is the stock IAC tube. Ford has an update for the (hooter hose) IAC tube that fixes the fog horn sound.
