Rear hatch lock cylinder
I need to replace the rear hatch lock cylinder on my firebird. it seems to be riveted in place...does anyone know how I get the old one out and install the new one?? Any help would be much appreciated

I drilled a hole through the rivets and then hammered them off if they didnt come off by drilling. I Replaced the rivets with Some nuts and Bolts. If you have a rivet gun you can replace it with that but from what i hear those are expensive and they are a big pain in the butt. |

yeah! rivets suck AAAAAA. go for nuts/bolts, make sure you get a nyloc, use threadlock, or double nut it so it wont fall off cuz of vibration..

Thanks for the advise....I drilled them out and replaced with nuts and bolts...thanks again!!
