Vanity mirror light

Hello all,

I want to address the last problem with my LS. The vanity light is out on the driver side. It has been inoperative for a year and the only reason I want to repair it, is to trade for a newer LS. Any idea how to separate the mirrow from the visor?

Re: Vanity mirror light

Have you already checked the bulbs for the mirror? If you remove the light cover, there are probably a couple of screws that are accessible. Then it's probably a matter of lifting that end of the mirror housing and unhooking. I haven't looked into the mirror on the LS, but have had others apart and they've all been pretty similar.

Re: Vanity mirror light

Fixed!!! I finally managed to pry the complete case out of the visor, but not without messing it up. I managed to pull the material away from the visor . Another repair for another day. Anyways, there are two prongs which make contact with the mirror cover. I simply bent them upwards and everything works again. Quick tip: I cut the wire at the mirror itself, so I could lay it in my lap to work on the prongs. Simply strip the wires and push them in the connector.
