Engine size

I was wondering what is the biggest engine you could fit in a 3rd gen(87 camaro) a 350sb or 400 sb

you could fit a 572 in there if you really wanted.

depends how much you want to spend, what tools and equipment you have access too and how far you want to go.

the least amount of money will a carbed 400 fit in the stock engine bay, no cutting or trimming just change the motor mounts

is it a difficult job to do or just very time consuming to swap in a 400sb, and is there a 5 or 6 speed that will connect to the 400

a chevy 400 block has the same exact bolt pattern of every other SBC. So any tranny that was connected to either a SBC or LT1 will work. So you can get a T5 or T56 if you like.
