I just rebuilt a 305 small block and cant get the secondarys to open up. sounds like it cant breath when i punch the gas. I had a rochester quadrajunk on it and i think that may have been a big problem. I am now going to but eidlbrocs version of the quarajunk and hope that will fix the problem. and other ideas I would be very thankful for.

Re: secodarys wont open up
Check the choke linkages - by design, the secondaries won't open if the choke is closed. If the linkage was somehow damaged or incorrectly assembled, this can prevent the secondaries from opening, even if the choke is open. Don't ask me how I know this.

Re: secodarys wont open up
Yeah, if you have a piece of linkage flipped around the wrong way you can get results like that. If you have another carb to compare it to that would help. Hopefully you can fix it without taking the top off of it.
