turbo and speaker question for vr4
I have a 93 vr4.. I have a couple of questions. I was reading somewhere talking about oil leaking from the turbos? what does that mean? oil is in the turbos? how do you know if they are not working anymore, or leaking??? How to check? Second question all of my speakers are pretty much blown, how do you replace them in our cars? What all do you have to take off to do it? My bro is good with hooking stuff up like that, but he wants to know what and how do you take off the panels ?

Re: turbo and speaker question for vr4
Yes, the turbos are oil and coolent cooled. If the seals are leaking, you may see smoke out of your exhaust. If theyre not spinning anymore, your car would run like shit if at all. if theyre squeeling it means theres alot of shaft play and theyre on their way out. if the lines to the turbos are leaking, you should see it. Check your oil/coolant frequently.
for the speakers, go here: http://www.stealth316.com/2-speakers.htm theres links in that page on how to get at them. |

Re: turbo and speaker question for vr4
When replacing the rear speakers I did not go 100% by the Stealth316 write up. You do not have to take out the seatbelts and completely remove the panels. All you do is when you remove the panel, gently guide it along with the seatbelt running through it to the outside of the car so it just kind of hangs there. Saves a little bit of time but isn't a huge issue.
