what wrong with my truck

I have 1998 F150 4x4 with the 4.6 motor today when i started it it wouldnt idle on its own there is no check engine lite that come on. i went to parts store had them read the computer but it didnt give any error codes I any bumfuzzled before today it idled just fine.Help

on the 4.6 prolly either the iac which is a problem on all fords or the egr hose breaks causing the maf reading to fall.

It could also be the fuel pressure regulator

probably the IAC valve. They stick closed especially in cold weather. The IAC will not fire an error code!
