Oil Pressure Sending Unit

Hello all,
I recently replaced my oil pressure sensor in my 2001 SE after it pegged at 120 psi. It initially went back to normal, indicating 40+psi but, after a day or so of driving, it dropped to 0 psi. I immediately shut it down then restarted and listened closely for any knocks. Long story short is that I definitely have oil pressure. My guess is that the plug or one of the wires to the plug has corroded. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, where was the problem on the wire? As you know, it's not the easiest wire to get to.

Thanks,

Chris H.
