Head lights 1988 325is

The front head light lens on the driver's side is cracked. The headlight works, so my question is can I just buy a replacement lens or do I need to by the entire left front light low beam head light Assembly? Can you tell of a site where I can get what i need. thanks

the e30 uses 5 inch headlights, whenever you place the headlight, you replace the old unit. they are not expensive, i got a new low beam from wal mart for a few bucks. to install it you must remove the left or right part of the grill, which ever side is busted. 5 inch diameter headlights come as a whole unit, lens, bulb and all.
