big is well bigger, flows more air. If you got a free 16g, I would just stick with that, It's free.

Re: the big and the small

The problem with evo turbos though, isnt the compressor housing is on the other side of the exhaust housing? I think on an Evo turbo your filter is going to be on the wrong side. If you can get it to work then I would say keep it, they are good turbos. They have flow characteristics like an Evo III 16g but better spool because they are twin scroll.

Re: the big and the small

with the whole filter being on the wrong side thing do you really see that causing that big of a problem? and would i use still use the 16g manifold no matter the year of turbo?
what does that twin scroll mean anyway?

Re: the big and the small

Well, I dont know, but I think that with the filter on the wrong side like that the o2 sensor housing wont bolt up to your down pipe. Also, I dont think theres a lot of room on the other side of the engine bay for a MAF and filter. I dont know if the evo turbo will bolt up to the DSM manifold, but theres a way to find out . Someday when you dont have anything better to do, I would go out and take the turbo off of your car and see whats up with that evo turbo. It would be a great turbo if you could get it to fit.

Personally, I would sell it. I bet you could get like $300 or so for it, then you could pick up a DSM 16g variant.
