Anyone Like new hondas?

I don't know if honda has a car that I'm really impressed by. I think the designs continue to go downhill. I think the front pillar on the civic looks too streched out. The new Crv is a space ship, element is a toaster, the accord is a glorified taurus.

The s2000 was a great car, but it's getting a bit old. Why wouldn't someone just get a G35 for about the same price? the new civic si isn't horrible, but why not get a RSX type-s to have leather and more creature comforts.

Granted, I think acura has hit the bullseye (rsx though ending, tsx, tl, rl, rdx, mdx) except that they don't have a low 20's replacement for the rsx/teg.

What is you're opinion? Is honda as good as it was in 2000ish (when I think they peaked)? Better Question: If you had $24K free money for a car only, would you run right to the honda dealer? I love the crx, but I think I'd go for the Jeep Wrangler 4 door Sahara.

if you like the jeep go to their forum. and by the way acura and honda are the same company. duh. like nissan and infinity, mazda and ford. gm and gmc... get it. sop honda has some crazy new designs. i think they are ok. i can't afford one so i don't even pay attention. and if i had 24k i would put it into my rex... wait i would get one from japan and then have the greatest crx ever. hahaha

I really like the SI, and I would kill for an S2000. The RSX is a sweet looking car too, only needs a little bit of a personal touch to make it really badass. Again, alot of the acura cars are great looking too. Ive seen the FiT, and im not impressed, nor was I before I saw it. If they ever bring the CRX back...you can bet Ill be the first one on the waiting list.

I own a Jeep and I am here so deal with it.

Anyway, yes, Honda isn't very impressive but neither are other vehicles really. The designs are smoother and the prices are inflated. But this is true with every car manufacturer these days. The difference between Acura and Honda has always been performance and aggressive styling vs. economy and cute-looking respectively. Both work well for what they are. I would love to have a 2004 Honda Accord V6 2-door coupe. The Acura TL is really sweet and the RL is just over the top. If I had $24k to blow on a car I'd probably go for something faster...

Like I said, I have a crx so I belong here not in jeep land listening to their crap about independant suspension vs solid axle

. and yes I realize that acura and honda are made by the same people, thats why I brought it up.

well congrats. on owning a jeep. i like ford, but that's a whole other topic.
the new si ain't bad. i guess, the rest suck though. and the rsx is good looking.

I am looking for another car. I have the 90 crx si (Fun car) and 95 accord ex vtec w/ 5sp (daily driver, hoping it croaks soon).

I'm looking for something but can't decide what.....Kinda falling for the new jeep. It all came up because I was looking for something from Honda/Acura and didn't find anything that I like anymore. (Crx's, del sols, preludes, Civic Si of 2000 were all my favorites.)

the new si is a good car. lil different looking, but good. the new jeep don't look bad either. if you like the 2000 si why don't you buy one of those? i had one. loved it.

the TSX is the Accord Euro R...and i like the new Si...but car design's are changing and if you haven't noticed, we're all stuck in the late 80's and early 90's

but i'd like a 2000 Si mostly b/c of the color and if i had that money...i'd try to find a 91 EF9 or EF8 with factory Mugen body kit

I like the new Si over the 01 models, never really liked them. Acura has some nice cars now.

If I had 24k to buy a new car, it would be between 3 dealerships...depending what I need more or which one I go to first, lol. 1)Subaru, 2)Mazda, 3) 2000 model Dodge Durango SLT. Ive always loved the Subaru's and I believe you can get a good one for around 24k. I'm starting to like Mazda's new designs like the Mazda 6 and 3's. And I like the Durango because its a smaller SUV and I can haul whatever with it, like 2 race cars.

Tony, I agree. I think my 3 choices would be Jeep, Dodge, or Mazda. I like the Jeep for towing and the fun of having a 4 door wrangler. Mazda, I think got it right with the body style and different trim levels (Love the 6, but getting old). Dodge, I can't imagine spending the money on a dodge, but I really like the new chargers. I guess I'm looking for a 4 door that could tow (Jeep) or be a sporty 4 door (Dogde/Mazda).

I have a question about the new Civic Si. Is it badged "Si"? I've seen plenty of coupes but have never actually seen one with "Si" on them.

I agree, I think Mazda has got some really good new designs...minus the new Miata(its starting to grow on me, but not like the others). I love most of the colors their new ones come in also. There are still a few older Mazdas that I love too, nothing can beat the FC in my opinion.

Dodge's new design on the Charger took me awhile to get over that fact its a 4 door, but it has grown on me. Ive liked the 300c ever since it came out, but I would take a Charger over it. My g/f loves the Magnum and wants one bad.

i like these kinda post..as for the new SI and most of Honda's 06+ lineup..i think they are disgusting.. i wasnt too fond of the EP3 when it cameout but it slowly grew on me..and im just not a fan of the new SI..if i had 24k i would definately try and shoot for a used 06 RSX type S. i drove one before and im impressed with the styling..the interior is very tight and comfortable..and the car moves pretty good. as for the TSX..i dunno i would have to try and shoot for a TL..maybe a used one..something about the TSX.. as for Tony there liking Durango's..i liked um when they first cameout long ago but geez there interior is very lame and those 5.9 360's are dogs..good luck towing 2 cars if they weigh over 2000pds. and im a real big fan of the 300c's..i would definately be intrested in buying one if it wasnt for my mortgage and 1 yr left on my truck..88-00
