2003 Dodge Grand Caravan intermittent start
My van has a aftermarket, dealer installed keyless entry (has all the alarm buttons on it, but no horn) I don't know if this has anything to do with it. Saturday nite, we went to start the van, all the right lights came on, but no power to the starter. Messed with it for about 2 hours, noticed that one of the relays was clicking when the key was turned to start. Had the car towed home. when I went to start it before going to autozone to get a relay (i found out today it is dealer only) it started up just fine, trying it about 5-6 times. This morning it started fine to get to work, lunch time started fine, then was going to go down to dodge to get the relay, no start. Picked up the relay, put it in, and its not starting. Anyone have this problem??? There is no power going to the starter, oh and if we bridge where the relay goes, the starter cranks, but doesnt turn over.

Re: 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan intermittent start
I'm looking at a schematic for a 98. The Powertrain Control Module supplies power to the coil on the starter relay at contact 85 of the relay. Are you getting power there? If not, confirm it on an 03 schematic before you make a move. Haynes or Chiltons manual should have it. If you don't want to drag $18 out of your wallet your local library may have it.
Are you getting a check engine light?
