Selling shot 96 Jetta III GLS, needs engine
Just lost the engine on my Jetta. 199,000 miles. Body has little rust on door edges, scratches. Needs rear wheel bearing. Broken door latches but good interior. Any suggestions on what to ask for it?

Re: Selling shot 96 Jetta III GLS, needs engine
The KBB value for private sale providing everything is ok that you described is $2250, but with the door latches and engine out it will be difficult to find a buyer. I assumed no smoke odor when I got the estimate. You can go to KBB.com and fill in the information if you want a more accurate value.

Re: Selling shot 96 Jetta III GLS, needs engine
Thier is a 95 mk3 jetta here running and only a little dent in hood and it has 121,000 miles and its selling for 1995.00
mk3's are hard to sell and even harder as a shell (no engine). Post on vwfixx.com and you will probly get a buyer this forum is so slow and that forum has alot of people who insert 1.8t and vr6 into cars and will probly get more for it there. Not to be an a-hole but you will be lucky to get 1000.00 for it. You would get more parting it out. Wanna sell the dash and everything inside? I am going to put one in my mk2 jetta.
