Hyundai windows

I have had my Hyundai for 3 years and I generally love it. But the windows suck. When it was under waranty the driver side window dropped into the tracks and I had it repaired. Then the passenger side one dropped and I had to pay a fortune to have it fixed and found out it wasn't off the track but instead a little plastic gear had busted. Well now I've got 3 windows wedged closed with styrofoam, and the driver side window is the only one working. I know it's just a matter of time before it goes again too. I don't even use the damn windows, they just drop without anyone using them.

Anyone have a resource for new window motors or experience with this?

Model and year might be helpful.

Re: Hyundai windows

Well we do know its an Elantra and she said three years so I assume it a 2003 model, (but the profile says 2000).

Ragardless, giving us as much information as possible would be helpful.

Have you tried looking in the Hyundai Webtech. (If you never been there this thread shows you how).
According to webtech there is a TSB # 04-90-010 that states that certain 2001-2004 Elantra front power window regulators have been produced with motors designed for 1996-2000 year Elantras. Whether that is a cause, I'm not certain. But it has the parts number in the document.

Edit there is also TSB # 98-80-001 Window Regular Adjustment that says the front window may settle due it the regulator misadjusted.

Re: Hyundai windows

Thanks for the links. BTW, it is a 2000 Hyundai Elantra which I have owned since 2003. I appreciate the help.
