97 aurora no start

My wifes 97 doesn't want to start. When you turn the ignition to start you can hear the fuel pump run and a couple of relays clicking.the volt meter goes to discharge. i read a couple of other threads with the same problem but have pretty much ruled those fixes out The battery is reading 12-12.2.Replaced the starter thinking that was what it was. There is a black relay on the fire wall in the middle of two other relays (engine compartment)that clicks when i try to start it.Was wondering if any one knew what the relay was for and if this could be the problem. Any other ideas would be appreciated.

Re: 97 aurora no start

If the starter doesn't turn the motor over, then it sounds like the battery or connections between the starter and battery.
