2000 Montana Power window problem

Hi,

We purchased a 2000 Montana a few weeks ago. When we looked at it everything was working properly. Now the driver's side power window is starting to act up. It seems to get hung up going down, and comes up crooked on the way up. Is this a window regulator problem or something else? I did a search and saw a couple of posts related to this, but there did not seem to be any resolutions to the problem.

Thanks,

Give this a try: Get some Silicone Spray Lubricant (the kind with the little tube that attaches to the nozzel), and spray the front and back glass guides 3 to 4 times from top to bottom. Soak it pretty good, but not so much that it drips down inside.

Then roll the window up and down a few times and see if it is any better. It worked on my Chevy Venture and has been working since June of this year.

Take Care,

The spray seems to have helped it a lot. It doesn't get hung up anymore and goes up and down much faster. Still goes a little crooked but it works a lot better.

Thanks alot!

You're Welcome.

Check out the link I put in the message above yours.

That page tells how I adjusted one of the guide rails inside the door to make my window work better.

Take Care,

Ok thanks. I'll save taking the door apart for a day when I am feeling more adventurous.

The Problem is the Window Regulator. Must be bent slightly. Mine does the same thing as the window closes crooked. If it keeps working just use it like that for the time being. Regulator is a very expensive part to change.
