Need help with front turn signals 88 Crx
Only the back lights flash and they flash fast. I can't find anything wrong chasing and testing continuity. There are only about .7 volts to both. I suspect a relay. The wiring diagram shows a flasher relay and also an integrated control unit for the lights/flashers/markers. The markers/running lights work fine. Any ideas?

Check to see if you have any burnt out bulbs, remember they're duel filament. If they are all good then its probably your flasher.

yeah. they mess up the circuit when one of the filaments blow. i just woke up so i'm way to tired to explain it. just check you bulbs.

Bulbs were changed but didn't do anything. Any other ideas? Surely someone knows something about this. |

Re: Need help with front turn signals 88 Crx
an individual "part" of a relay could have gone out neccessitating the change of the entire thing.
relays are damned expensive, though. if you've checked your wiring and you do get current, then.... if you only checked the bulbs and didn't actually replace, just outright replace them. bulbs are just about the cheapest things you can buy. just go look them up or have someone look them up for you at an auto parts place and outright replace them. i'll bet if they've been doing this for a while that one of the 2 filaments is burnt out like thesilentchamber mentioned. if it doesn't work, you've still spent under $10. plus you know 100% it's not the bulbs. other than that i don't have enough knowledge about electrical systems in general to give you another course of action. listen to these guys here, though. last time i had a car problem it WAS my main relay. they told me strait off that it was, and that was the last thing i changed. i'd have saved $300 if i had listened to these guys... |

well, i thought you ^ knew something about electionics for a second. if it's not your bulbs then... has it been doin this since you owned the car? or did it just start? take a mutimeter to the relay see if it's good. did you change the rear bulbs?
