95 shifter question

I have alot of play in my shifter. Its a manual trans. I went looking around on the tranny and I saw this yellow plastic part that has about a 1" hole in the middle of it over my shifter thingy. It looks like there should be some type of ball in the middle of it. Does anyone know what this is and can you tell me the part number and where to get it? Thanks.

Joshua
