Low vent pressure

2001 Seirra.

My vent doesn't blow very hard even when the AC is on Max. It really cold air comming out but the blower doesn't seem to push the air out very hard. There is an increase with each increase of the knob but the max setting it is not very hard. Is this normal or should I check a filter somewhere. It has been like this since I got the truck two years ago.

My guess is your heater box is full of crap...leaves, bugs, dirt... If all else troubleshooting fail that is where I would go. Good Luck.

Re: Low vent pressure

An '01 Serria has a cabin air filter, and it will cause the exact problem that you decribe. I dont remember how to access it, but if you go to a good part store they should have a pic or instructions on how to replace it. I would start with that first it is a common problem, because most people don't know that the filter is even there. Hope this helps.
