Rear Window Shocks

I have a 94 Blazer and a 90 Camaro. Both cars the rear window (and rear hatch) hasn't stayed up for a long time.

I just bought some used shocks over at Pick-A-Part ($4.50 ea) that hold the window up. I have a rear window defrost on both cars, the shocks I got didn't.

It isn't obvious if I can move over the tabs from the old shocks.

I can live without the defrost, but would rather switch it over if I can.

Does anyone know if moving the tabs over is possible, and if so how it is done?
