Re: Service Traction Message
I'd suggest you check the ABS connector at each wheel. Because the traction control uses the ABS system, a bad connection at a wheel can cause the traction control light to turn on.
My light came on first thing in the morning when I first backed out of the garage, but would not return if I stopped and restarted the engine. Turned out to be a rear wheel ABS sensor thaht was bad (luckily replaced under warranty). But, you might get luck and it is just a bad connection...good luck, glen |

Re: Service Traction Message
when my abs light went on it turned out it was a rear tail light bulb. the abs system goes through the rear lights so check those out. make sure the connectors are not coroded in the tail lights. if they are you can order a replacement socket from gm directly or form gmpartsdirect.com
hope that helps |

Re: Service Traction Message
Also check the brake fluid level and vacuum connection to the (brake) master cylinder: I had a similar intermittent problem.

This thread is a little out of date to be adding to. In the future, if you have more to add, it is a better idea to start a new thread with the useful information you have provided.
