Clutch help!
I have an 84 Cherokee that has something go wron with the clutch every couple months. I have replaced every component at different times and it works fine for awhile and then something else goes wrong. My most recent problem was that the clutch would not disengage unless the pedal was pushed extremely hard all the way to the floor. I didn't have time to mess with it for a couple days so it just sat in the driveway while I drove my Camaro. When I drove it again, thew clutch worked fine for about two blocks, then it did not want to disengage again. I just replaced what appeared to be a leaky slave cylinder and now it won't disengage at all.
Please help.

Re: Clutch help!
When you replaced your slave cylinder did you bleed the line? If there is any air in the line you will get the kind of responce you have, also makesure all the connections are tight. What shape is the pressure plate in, when you say you replaced everything, did you buy a clutch kit or what did you do?

Re: Clutch help!
When I bought the thing two years ago it needed a clutch so I gave it the whole kit;clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing and a new bushing. Yes when I installed the slave cylinder I bled the line and the pedal is stiff and feels like it should, but doesn't even slightly disengage the clutch.
