anyone good with 4th gen suspension?

Alright guys, been some time since i have done some work to my car. I have decided to make the care a corner carver before i go ahead and just dump money into straight line performance. Biggest reason for this, i don't take the car to the track, and i live in an area where the roads are very sharp, windy, curvy ect (hudson valley ny).

Anyways, i have a brand new wildwood 6 piston brake and rotor kit in my garage that just came in. I also ordered LG adjustable A-arms, and sway bar kit. I figured this was a good start to get the front of my car nice. Anyways, me and two of my buddies are gonna put all this crap on when it comes in. We will have access to a GM dealers garage and lifts/tools and one of my buddies is a GM tech.

So, before we go ahead mess up my car......Does anyone have any tips? Like are the springs under alot of tension when i take the A-arms off? Do i need to compress the springs? Special tools? Should i just replace the Springs and Shocks while im doing the A-arms? If so, what should i get? I can't lower the car too much due to the nature of the roads around here.

Any pointers would be great.

Car is a 94 trans am with only 50k on it, garage kept...so under the car is in great shape, minimal rust dirt ect.

Thanks

hey from experience with my 96 WS-6 the rear suspension is under no load if you unbolt the struts. and drop down the rear end the spings just slid right off. dont undo the trailing arms just the struts. make sure if you twist the bolt. twist it back. youll know what i mean if you do it. i dont really recommend doing any kind of lowering on the car if you plan on doing exhaust work such as long tubes or true duals. they will scrape at stock heght and be ruined at lowered height. the front suspension will be under a little pressure. so yea i recommend getting out a compressor mind you i had a WS-6 so i had the DeCarbon suspenision set up in my car. it might be slightly different. anyways i recommend replacing the struts while you have them unbolted. they arent that expensive unless you want high performance...which what the hell why not. if your gonna do it do it right

wilwood is an awesome brand for brakes on the car. but if i were you i would have first upgraded to the corvette brakes. get the bigger rotors calipers and caliper brackets. then got the wilwood setup
