Stall during turns
1991 LeSabre custom, with the "pre-series I" LN3 3800.. I haven't had a chance to scan for codes, but thought I'd ask if anyone's ever had a stalling situation while the engine is under load from the power steering system? The engine starts up, idles and operates normal until I get to a stop, then it occassionally stalls once the wheel is turned. Thanks for any input, I'll try to get it scanned this weekend.

Re: Stall during turns
There's a sensor on the column that the ECM uses to maintain engine idle speed , I think it's a load compensation switch or something, kind like the one for the A/C compressor. Anyway, there were problems with these.

Re: Stall during turns
I have the same problem... almost.
When I turn, my RPM will drop to like 200, and i will hear a groaning noise, but then when I straighten out everything goes back to normal? wierd. |
