Over the line? Racist? Too much? Wrong?

I was just wondering about this. I didn't know if it this went in politics or the TV thread. So I'll just put it here for now.

Mind of Mencia

Good God this show is so damn funny. The thing is he says what we think about saying, but don't. Personally I think he steps over the line more than Chappelle did and is funnier doing it. I also think his show is funnier.

Now for those who haven't seen this show, he makes fun of asians, blacks, hispanics, whites, gays, lesbians, politicians, rednecks, Islamics, Indians, ect. As I said, Chappelle did the same but he takes it and runs with it. I mean he runs with it and nobody is safe.

I've seen recently that several people hate his show because this shouldn't be said on TV and he is wrong. I think it's fucking funny personally.

Now after viewing one or two or all of these what do you think? Is he too over the line or too "racist" with his jokes? This is just a small sample, I've seen worse (and funnier) from him.

Is this just poor television or the truth with a funny twist? Is he...
Going over the line too much?
Too racist?
Doing too much to make it unfunny?
Is he wrong?

For me, I personally say, no.

yes itss wrong. but heck i dont care cause im the exact same way and as its gotten me into some trouble, ive gotten outta it.

will i get into more and bigger? possibly, but im not quite as careless.

i really don't like mencia. chapelle show was ok, his standup was much better. i just can't stand mencia, he gets on my nerves. as for the show's provocative factor, its acceptable in today's society for a mature audience. kids watching this show only equals ignorant fucks.

People are wayyy to serious about the whole racist thing and politically "correct" terms. Aslong as you arent in some crazy cult (KKK for instance) and you arent serious about what you say, it shouldnt matter. Im white, call me a cracker for all I care, it doenst bother me. I find him very offensive but very funny. I dont take offense to him because he seems to insult every one, though his main rant is stuipd people. I still like him though.

He was funny the first time, before his show. He is just annoying now. He has beat the dead horse enough already.

He fails at funny.

The thing that makes it OK is that he doesn't discriminate, or rather he discrimates against everyone equally. I never like Chapelle, because from the clips I've seen, he has only been making fun of white people.

I think his skits are hilarious... Verizoon for a quick example. I've heard some of his rants and yeah it's funny and I don't mind the tearing all types of people but the ranting itself is what gets old. Listening to anybody complain or talk about other people whether it be comedians or preachers is just annoying after awhile. But making funny skits about everybody even normal politically correct people is hilarious.

His show is funny on occasion, but I refuse to watch it now. Not because its over the line, but because I hate mencia.

honestly, he's no better than anyone else i know that not afraid of being PIC. all comdeian, i think, suck once they get their own how for the most part. it becomes likeverything else.

some of his jokes, ive made up as well. all you do is take stereotypes and expand on it.

He was funny when he was new, but now all his material is the same. He tries too hard to make fun of PC.

I don't hate Mencia, but I don't really find him funny.
