old model, Lexus, need help

Just starting back into modeling now that I have some time, found in my closest a AMT/ertl model Lexus LS400. This model has no engine so its alittle easier. However all 1990-91 LS400 had two-tone paint, How should I do this? any help? I wanna paint the body Tamiya Silver and the bottom tamiya grey metallic. How should I proceed?

Also any tips on building a Tamiya Nissan Skyline GT-R R34? Seen some great examples on this site. wanna have mine look like that

Paint the body silver, mask the top half, and paint the bottom with gray metallic.
Use those masking tape to mask the top half. When choosing a masking tape...
Thinner is better
Too strong tape will peel off the first coat
Some tape leaves nasty gunk

I found Tamiya Masking tape one of the best, but there should be equally good ones.

When applying a masking tape, use tooth pick or something pointy, but soft to rub the tape to make sure there's no gap.
Use very sharp knife when trimming.
Check for any gap after trimmed tape is removed.

You can use Modeler's Meta-Look as a very thin masking tape. Bare Metal Foil can also be used, but it might stick to the body too strongly, so it has to be handled with care.

Smile donīt forget

donīt forget to add a thin line of bare metal foil between the two colors one finished the paintwork , because the real car has that kinda trim.
What about the interior Erth/beige or Dark Gey / Medium grey?
Have you seen the Tamiya kit? It has the V8 engine and the wheels chromed.Looks real nice.

info

Well Ruffman here I put you the pic of that Tamiyta LS400.In referring to the Bare-Metal , the only thing you just gotta do is to place a piece of it in the place where you need it , and with your nail or a sharp thing, to give it the form of what you wanna chrome. The cut around the Bare-Metal that doesnīt serve you.
I have found a pic from a Revell Catalogue but may be it ainīt enough.Donīt know If ITīs clear.
