Talking sticky caliper piston

Any ideas on lubing a sticky caliper piston on a CR-V?? Pads are very hot and seem to be always in contact with the rotor. thanks

Re: sticky caliper piston

More often than not, it's the caliper slides that are sticking, not the caliper itself. If the caliper itself is sticking, nothing you can do short of honing and rebuilding is gonna help.

A faulty brake hose can cause dragging also.

Re: sticky caliper piston

50 to 1 its the slide pins that allow the caliper to float.
