you cant unless you have the si knuckles and axles because the hf ones are much smaller

Re: please i need some advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

just go for the complete engine upgrade if your gonna go for more performance. You could probably do a cheap engine and tranny swap for the same amount of cash and aggrevation as you would just changing the tranny and related parts.

You better search or you're going to get flamed. Better yet, just sell your car and forget you ever came here...

Re: please i need some advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I heard somewhere that you can use your HF axles with the Si trans since they have the same imput shaft and just run the HF hubs w/o upgrading to dx/si hubs. Im not 100% sure about the compatability of HF and dx/si inner hubs, one might have a different spline count than the other, but could still fit the tranny, i.e. sticking HF inner hubs in an si tranny.

Re: please i need some advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

i guess the only way this guy is gonna find out is to take on of the axles off and see if it goes into the si trans or not...a lot of guys on here say you have to swap out the hubs but I'm not sure about that....

this link shows the part number for the left axle assembly for an 88-91 HF:

http://parts.autopartsonlinecanada.c...bly&category=K

this link is for an 88-91 dx and si:

http://parts.autopartsonlinecanada.c...bly&category=K

whether the hubs are compatible with the axles is irrelevant..the axle itself is different in spline count and length to if I'm not mistaken...if the guy gets the si axles he might be ok as long as the si axle goes into the hf hub...it sounds like a PITA thats not worth the trouble to me

Re: please i need some advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I never said the si axle output will fit in the HF hub cause i know for a fact it wont. The option this guy has is sticking the HF axle input shaft in the si trans and keeping his HF hubs. If he decides to upgrade to dx/si/ex hubs then his only option is to run dx/si axles. I know the spline count on the axles are different (like 25 to 23) but regardless i heard somewhere that HF input shafts suprisingly fit the si trans.

Re: please i need some advice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

shoot. just swap the inner part of the axle to to si so it will slide in the tranny and hopfully oporate just as well. and i dont think the lengths would be chenged at all. but im just trying to think again.
